Who knew fresh fruits and vegetables could be so exciting? Joshua Becasen, a dietetic intern at Bluffton University, did. After teaching a short lesson on the differences between fruits and vegetables, Becasen started a chant at Freedom Elementary.

Becky Boban '19, an art and writing major, was the recipient of a Summer Discovery Grant, which allowed her to attend a writing workshop and devote her summer break to the written word.

Andrew Renner '20
For Andrew Renner, a math major with an adolescent/young adult education licensure, the saying like father like son applies to his college experience. The sophomore basketball player from Cairo, Ohio, shares not only an alma mater and future career path with his father but also a coach. In his 29th season at Bluffton University, Guy Neal has coached both Andrew and his father, Christopher Renner '94.
Moyer Nature Center
A new 1,800 square foot Moyer Nature Center has been funded and is scheduled for completion later this fall within the Bluffton University Nature Preserve, Bluffton’s president, Dr. James M. Harder, announced today.

To begin a presentation on Christian faith and peace practice amidst the violence of Central America, Willi Hugo Perez quoted, “Peace is one of the most precious and sought-after goods; but at the same time, it is one of the most fragile and threatened.”
Opening Convocation 2016
Julie Burstein gave insight into this year’s Civic Engagement theme Creativity, the Arts, and Civic Life. Burstein is the author of “Spark: How Creativity Works” which was the summer reading for first-year students.
