Moving onto campus

Dates, times and procedures

Welcome to, or welcome back to Bluffton! We are excited to have you on campus this fall!
Specific move in dates, times and instructions will be listed here as plans are finalized. New students and fall athletes can expect to move in on a day during the week of Aug. 12. You will be informed of the specific day.  Returning students will be able to move in during designated times on Aug. 17 and 18.

Complete your Day One Ready forms and items prior to arrival
We want you to be ready on Day One! As a friendly reminder, you will not be able to check in to your residence hall if these forms and items are not complete. For those approved to live off campus, you will not be able to participate in athletic activities and/or attend classes until these forms are completed.

New students: Login at my.bluffton.edu and click on the Admissions tab at the top and then into Day One Ready. Everything you need to complete is listed there. You should have received instructions at orientation. Contact Christy Garmatter, Director of Student Success at garmatterc@bluffton.edu or 419-358-3662 if you have questions.

Returning/Readmit students: Your Day One Ready forms are located under the Student Life tab at my.bluffton.edu. If you have not completed all Day One Ready forms before 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, you must arrive to campus after 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, after all forms are submitted.

Move in dates

While the general move in will happen Aug. 16-18, several groups of students move in earlier in preparation for fall activities. Dates for 2024 move in for student leaders and athletes will be announced later in the summer.

Move in 2021

Not looking forward to carrying your belongings to your new room? Let us help! Student athletes, student leaders, ministry team members, and maybe even faculty or staff members will descend upon new student vehicles on Aug. 16, 2024, to move belongings to your room. Now setting up your room? That’s all on you!
