No matter how far you live, we want you to experience Bluffton University firsthand. With our Fly/Drive Bluffton program, we’ll help ease the travel cost so you can see the campus, meet students and imagine your future here. Let’s plan your visit together.
How Fly Bluffton Works
- If you live more than 300 miles from Bluffton, Ohio, you’re eligible for airfare help. We’ll reimburse half your airfare (up to $250) when you visit, and when you enroll, your student account will be credited the other half, up to a total of $500.
- To qualify, you must make arrangements in advance with our Admissions Office. Scheduling your personal visit ahead of time is required.
- This is a one‑time visit credit to be used for your campus visit and cannot be used for orientation or move-in.
How Drive Bluffton Works
- If you live at least 250 miles from campus, we offer reimbursement at 15 cents per mile up to $250.
- Bringing a friend? Even better: If you bring one high‑school friend, you’ll be reimbursed 20 cents per mile; and for two or more friends, the rate increases to 25 cents per mile, up to $350.
- This is a one‑time visit credit to be used for your campus visit and cannot be used for orientation or move-in.
What to Expect on Your Visit
- Choose a personal visit (one‑on‑one with admissions) or a Discover Bluffton group visit.
- During your visit you’ll tour campus, meet students and faculty, sit in a class (if possible) and get a feel for student life and community.
- When you visit, bring the receipt for your ticket and we will reimburse half the airfare, up to $250. When you enroll at Bluffton, your account will be credited for the other half. Total reimbursement will not exceed $500. Your visit must be pre-arranged with the admissions office to qualify for the Fly Bluffton program.
