Ohio Behavioral Health Scholarship
Bluffton University has been awarded $450,000 through the Ohio Behavioral Health Scholarship (OBHS) program, creating new opportunities for students pursuing careers in behavioral health and social work.
Eligible Ohio residents enrolled in Bluffton University's online Master of Social Work program may receive up to $15,000 per year in scholarship funding. When combined with institutional aid, tuition and general fees can be reduced to $0. The scholarship may also provide support for internship stipends and other educational expenses that strengthen workforce readiness.
Scholarship Benefits

- Opportunity to earn an accredited MSW degree online while completing field placements locally
To qualify, students must:
- Be an Ohio resident
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Enroll at least half-time in Bluffton's MSW program
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Commit to working in an approved Ohio behavioral health setting after graduation for a period equal to the number of years scholarship funding is received

Bluffton University Alumni Master’s Degree Grant
Bluffton University alumni who completed their undergraduate degree at Bluffton are eligible for a 20 percent tuition discount on Bluffton University master degree programs.
- Only eligible on cost of tuition (not books, fees, etc.)
- Discount applies once you are enrolled in a degree seeking program; this does not apply to stand-alone concentrations or training programs
- Discount may not be combined with other university tuition discount programs (Corporate/Education Partners Program, employee discount, etc.)
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics FoundatioN
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation offers scholarships and grants to Academy members. More information on AND scholarships. Scholarships may also be available through state or local academy affiliates.
Additional Aid
- Employer assistance: an increasing number of employers provide educational assistance benefits to their employees. Students should check to see if their employer provides such benefits.
- Students in the Bluffton Master’s Program are eligible for federal and private loans. Apply through Bluffton's financial aid office, 419-358-3276.
- Outside scholarships, grants or other forms of assistance not listed on the Bluffton University financial aid offer must be reported immediately to the financial aid office to satisfy compliance issues. A re-evaluation and revision of the student’s financial aid offer will be made to reflect the additional resources to avoid an over-award.
