Director of Social Work Program; Associate professor of social work
The Advisory Council is comprised of Bluffton University faculty and staff, practicing
social workers from the area and students. It meets three times per academic year
to advise the program director on curriculum content, program policies, fieldwork
policies, program goals, recruitment strategies, accreditation self-study matters
and other program matters.
These are just a few of the field instructors who work with Bluffton students during their field work.
Field instructor Amanda Schroeder, LSW, with Kari Day and Leah Wells. Ms. Schroeder is the Director of Community Resources for the Long-Term Care program at PSA3 Agency on Aging, Inc., in Lima, Ohio. Ms. Schroeder received her BSW from the University of Findlay in 2005 and is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Field instructor Connie Dershem, MSW, LSW, with Joe Kerns. Ms. Dershem is the Neighborhood Specialist for the Community Development division at Lima-Allen County Neighborhoods in Partnership. Ms. Dershem received her MSW from The Ohio State University and is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Field instructor Nancy Stephani, MSW, LISW, MAC, with Laura "Ellie" Elsea. Ms. Stephani is the Emergency Services Coordinator for the Crisis Intervention Services division at Century Health in Findlay, Ohio. Ms. Stephani is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
