Transcript requests

Bluffton University has partnered with Parchment to offer students, former students and alumni a secure, electronic way to request and send transcripts

>>>  Parchment's transcript ordering page.

Current students may access Parchment's portal via my.bluffton.edu. Please note that Parchment's site is not compatible with cell phones.

Official transcripts can be sent electronically ($7.50 per transcript), mailed ($10 per transcript) or USPS priority mail overnighted ($43 per transcript). Transcripts are generally sent out within 3-5 days of the receipt of the request.

The U.S. Department of Education has issued regulations stating that institutions must release transcripts for students “if an institutional payment plan has been established by the student, or on the student’s behalf, to cover the charges and the responsible individual is current on the plan (i.e., has not missed any payments). . . . An institution is permitted to wait for the student to make their first payment from their agreement before providing them with their transcript.” (https://www2.ed.gov/policy/highered/reg/hearulemaking/2024/certification-q-and-a.html#tw).

Requestors will be notified via email if the transcript will not be sent due to a hold. Please contact the business office at 419-358-3443 or cashier@bluffton.edu to set up a payment plan. A student or alumni in the process of setting up a payment plan and making the first payment may request an unofficial transcript to be sent to themselves (not to a third party).

Unofficial transcripts are accessible to current Bluffton students via my.bluffton.edu. Click on the Student tab, then on Transcripts (on the left), then on View Unofficial Transcript. Scroll to the bottom of the page for a printer friendly PDF version. Please contact IT Help at helpdesk@bluffton.edu for my.bluffton.edu login and password assistance.

If you have any additional questions, please contact the registrar's office at 419-358-3321.
