Running the Show

Nevin Robson ‘26, a sport management and business administration double major, from Kenton, Ohio, completed an internship with Run the Show, a basketball operations and training company in northeast Ohio. Because of the positive experience Robson had at Run the Show, he plans to intern with them again in summer 2025.

“My classes at Bluffton have helped me learn professionalism, which prepared me for this internship,” said Robson. “I have learned how to act, what questions to ask, and the ability to work independently on tasks because of my classes and professors.”

During his internship, Robson worked closely with coaches, event organizers and basketball professionals to help facilitate various camps and tournaments. He assisted with player workouts and daily operations, ensuring the camps ran smoothly.

“This internship provided me with a lot of connections I can use down the road,” said Robson. “I met a lot of people who I will be able to use as a resource for my own career.”

Robson says being a double major allows him to have endless possibilities. He says in the back of his mind he has an idea of wanting to become a basketball player development coach; however, he knows he is not limited to that.

A guard on the men’s basketball team, Robson has built relationships and made connections during his time at Bluffton. Robson says his professors and teammates constantly open him up to new ideas. The connections he has made through Bluffton, Robson says, will help him in his career.

“The community at Bluffton is all about relationships and being open minded,” said Robson. “It’s nice to know that anyone on campus has an open heart to talk to you about anything and help you out.”

Robson is a member of the men’s basketball team, Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and has served as a Becoming a Scholar (BAS) class mentor.
