Bluffton University’s Education Department and The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center are co-hosting a fun and free event to promote literacy to kindergarten through fifth grade children and their parents.
“Dive Into Reading” will be held from 1-3 p.m. on President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 19, at The Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center. The facility is located on the lower level of Bluffton University’s Riley Court.
During the event, participating students will explore various literacy centers and earn prizes. They’ll also receive a free book based on their grade level and have the opportunity to browse the Lion and Lamb’s art and literature collection.

Through literature and art, the peace arts center promotes the study of peace and justice, cultural understanding and nonviolent responses to conflict, with an emphasis on these themes for children.
