How do I qualify?

 

To be admitted to the program, you must have a bachelors degree from a regionally-accredited institution. Additional qualifications include a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in the last half of the bachelors degree and a recommended four (4) years of strong work experience. Applicants who are on a management track will also be considered. 
 

Is this correct, I could attend class just one evening a week?

Yes, if you choose the 24-month MBA, evening classes meet online once per week for six sessions per course, which permit you to be a full-time student while continuing full-time employment. 

The program consists of 12 courses and can be completed in 12 months by completing two courses at a time for 12 months. Plan on 15-20 hours of homework per week during the school year.
 

What is the curriculum for the MBA program?

The curriculum is current, integrative and takes a comprehensive approach to management using courses especially designed to take advantage of the contributions that adult students bring to the classroom.
 

What is the difference between the Master of Business Administration and the Masters of Arts in Organizational Management?

The MBA program emphasizes understanding the nature of the managerial role and analyzing broad societal trends related to the world of business. Students also develop skills in data analysis and financial literacy.

The particular strengths of the MAOM program include an emphasis on understanding the nature of the managerial role, analyzing broad societal trends related to the world of business and developing an individual work related research project. 

When do classes start and what are the class hours?

A cohort-based MBA class is scheduled to begin annually in August. However, students are welcome to join a cohort at the beginning of any new course, which begins every six weeks during the academic year. For the 22-month MBA, classes meet one night a week from 6-9 p.m. The 12-month MBA classes meet two nights a week, 6-9 p.m.
 

What are the technology requirements?

All students should have access to a computer and a high-quality webcam. There are technology facilities on campus that can be used by students if they do not have one of their own. Students will also need access to appropriate word processing software, the internet, and a quiet space to participate in the synchronous courses.

Where do you offer this program?

Our programs can be completed from anywhere with a consistent internet connection as all of our courses are offered through online virtual classroom.
 

Is Bluffton accredited?  

Bluffton holds a certificate of authorization from the Ohio Board of Regents to confer the degree of master of business administration at Bluffton University; and the master of arts in organizational management at Bluffton University.  Bluffton is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org
