Marbeck Activities Council
Elizabeth Rockwell
Marbeck Activities Council (MAC) is the student-run, campus activity board for Bluffton University. MAC strives to encourage student life and involvement for the campus community by planning events throughout the school year which range from bingo nights in Bob’s Place to karaoke nights to trips off campus. In addition, MAC organizes many campus-wide special events including Welcome Weekend, Dam Jam and Finals Breakfast. However, MAC is probably best known for the Friday, late-night event series Marbeck After Dark which occurs every Friday night at 9 p.m. in Bob’s Place.

The board consists of a diverse group of students, representing a variety of subpopulations. While two seats on the board are reserved for incoming first-year students starting in the fall semester, the main recruitment and application process for the coming academic year occurs in the spring semester. The campus community is encouraged to provide ideas and feedback to help MAC provide exciting and engaging opportunities and programs for Bluffton students.
