Nathan Rodrick
Major: Pre-physical therapy
Hometown: Dublin, Ohio
Graduation year: 2029
Why did you choose Bluffton?
When I went on my visit, the small community was what really got me. You could tell that everyone here was very nice to each other and overall, very welcoming. The lunch I had with the baseball team also showed they were very close as a whole.
Why did you choose your major? Are your classes helpful?
I chose my major because I have had a lot of injuries, so I have already had some experience in the field itself. I have enjoyed being able to see what a physical therapist does on a day-to-day basis. My classes so far have been helpful, and next year is when I get to do more hands-on learning and gain more knowledge about the different muscle groups.
What type of job do you want following graduation? What are your career goals?
I want to be a physical therapist after graduation. Some of my goals are to finish grad school, get my doctorate and then find a job in the field.
Tell us about Bluffton’s faculty, staff, and coaches. Are they helping you reach your
goals?
Everyone at Bluffton has been making sure that the adjustment into college has gone well and has made sure that I am settled in properly. They have made it clear that they actually care about how you are doing.
What student organizations are you part of? Why is it important for you to be active
on campus?
I am thinking of joining science club next year. I have been going to different events, and I think being active in those is just a good way to meet new people at Bluffton.
Are you a student-athlete? If so, which sport(s) do you play, and what is the best
part of being on a team at Bluffton?
I play baseball. The best part about being on a team is just how close you get with everyone in the first couple of weeks you are on campus.
