Why did you choose Bluffton?

I chose Bluffton because of the welcoming community and personal education. The university also has a great foundation built on important values like service and exploration.

Why did you choose your major? Are your classes helpful?

I want to be able to help as many people as I can through healthcare. My classes have been great, and the hands-on learning in labs has been very helpful.

What type of job do you want following graduation? What are your career goals?

I want to attend medical school and pursue a career in family medicine and psychiatry, providing care in a community.

Tell us about Bluffton’s faculty, staff, and coaches. Are they helping you reach your goals?

I never could have imagined how helpful the staff and coaches at Bluffton would be. If I ever have a question, need advice, or just require a little push, I know that my mentors will always be there for me.

What student organizations are you part of? Why is it important for you to be active on campus?

I am a resident advisor (RA) and a member of the Science Club. Being involved on campus is important because it gives me opportunities to develop leadership and teamwork skills. Putting myself out there also allows me to meet new people that I wouldn’t otherwise get to know.

Are you a student-athlete? If so, which sport(s) do you play, and what is the best part of being on a team at Bluffton?

I am a member of the baseball team at Bluffton. It may sound cliché, but the best part of being on a team at Bluffton is the support system. Having teammates to bond with and coaches to learn from is how I’ve grown the most in my first year here.
