Meet the 2025-26 President’s Ambassadors
Tyler Forest
Psychology and social work double major
Harison, Ohio
Graduation year: 2028
Why did you choose Bluffton?
Baseball is what got me interested in Bluffton but after my tour I felt welcomed here
and appreciated the small community that made me feel like I had a place in the community
before I was even a part of it.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose my major originally because of my interest in people’s thought processes and
that later transitioned to me trying to understand my own struggles with mental health
and dealing with life’s problems that everyone faces. Now my goal through my major
is to be able to allow people to be able to be the fullest version of themselves.
My classes have been helpful and have strengthened my love for psychology and social
work.
What type of job do you want following graduation?
I’m not exactly sure what I want to do yet as I came in wanting to do counseling and
therapy, but now I have found an interest in working to stop human trafficking. I
don’t have any specific career goals other than I want to be able to learn more about
others and myself through working with many different people.
Tell us about Bluffton’s faculty, staff and coaches.
Bluffton’s faculty, staff and coaches have helped me reach my goals and help me go
beyond the basics of what I thought I would learn and taught me about their experiences
in this life of work and have taught me to be more open minded and embrace what makes
me who I am and how important it is to make the most of what I have.
What student organizations are you part of?
Baseball, Athletes in Christ Bible Study and President’s Ambassadors. It is important
to be active on campus so that you can find your people and surround yourself with
people that you want to be around.
Are you a student-athlete?
I play baseball. The best part of being on the baseball team is the time that you
spend with your teammates doing tough things and just hanging with the guys and not
being so worried about the game but about having fun and working towards our goals.
Is there anything else about being a student at Bluffton that you would like to share?
It’s important to keep an open mind while also sticking to what you believe in. Keeping
an open mind can strengthen your own beliefs just because you want to look to understand
why you believe what you believe. Bluffton allows you to be who you are while also
learning other perspectives that help you understand the world around you.
