Silent Melodies

through poisonous heavens
stars smeared as glitter on glassy midnight,
raw ocean spray
flood onto northern tongues
shivering chills gushing exposed bone
one gently perches,
deeply drinking
of moonlight magic,
of sugary cinnamon tea,
within soft underbellies of cracked rooftops
insides of honeyed rhythm,
liquid butterflies,
bloodied thoughts.
admiring silent universes
salted wounds replenish
from aftermath of silky petrichor
howling like whispers
