Living Faithfully in a Broken City (Christianity & Poverty)

Students get to know Chicago through the Olive Branch Mission, located in south-side Chicago. This experience will help students better understand the social, racial and economic struggles facing low income families in an urban environment and one “Christian” response to these issues.

Olive Branch Mission through their International Centre for Training and Research will provide contextualized education and service opportunities and unique real-time experiential training provides a survey of city life and cultures, and involves participant observation, readings, lectures, volunteer service and exploration of Christian community and public transportation.
