Faith and memory
Looking back on the past academic year, I find myself reflecting on challenges and triumphs, both for our campus community and in the world around us.
In times of significant disruption, many of us turn to our faith and the memories of God’s faithfulness as sources of strength and hope.
This issue of Bluffton is dedicated to this year’s Civic Engagement Theme of “Faith and Memory in Challenging Times.” As we look back, I cannot help but discern God’s providence in the selection of that theme: it has woven itself powerfully throughout our campus experiences. From the struggles we’ve faced to the moments of profound connection and reflection, we have seen how faith and memory sustain us in uncertain times.
Acting president Dr. Alex Sider

Guest speakers
The Civic Engagement Theme guided many Forum presentations including the Keeney Peace Lecture.

Spiritual life
The theme allowed us intentionally think about the past and how it shapes our present and future.
