BLUFFTON UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES 2004 HOMECOMING COURT
Bluffton University students have voted, and members of the 2004 Homecoming court have been decided. The selected students will be honored during Homecoming weekend, Oct. 1-3.
The Homecoming court includes senior king, Scott Steiner (Berne, Ind.), senior queen, Molly Pawsey (Clyde), senior escort, Rick Pagniano (Wooster), senior attendant, Jennifer Summers (Oregon, Ohio), junior escort, Matt Wills (Celina), junior attendant, Christ Maas (Findlay), sophomore escort, Jacob Slager (Hopedale, Ill.), and sophomore attendant, Katie Nussbaum (Dalton).
This year’s scepter bearer is Brianna Ruth Keeler, daughter of Karen and Randy Keeler (Bluffton). The crown bearer is Eli Bourassa, son of Jackie and Mark Bourassa (Bluffton).
Steiner, son of Rick and Nancy Steiner, is majoring in elementary education with a minor in coaching. His activities include football, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Committee treasurer, Spiritual Life Week committee, BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ), and College Republicans.
Pawsey, daughter of John and Sandra Pawsey, is majoring in communication in church organization. Activities include Shining Through coordinator, BASIC treasurer, PALS (Peer Awareness Leaders) co-advisor, hall chaplain, and Spiritual Life Week committee.
Pagniano, son of Rick Pagniano and Debra Brant, is majoring in middle childhood education. He is a resident advisor and is involved with BASIC and hall association.
Summers is the daughter of Alan and Cheri Summers, and is a business administration major with a concentration in marketing and management of information systems. She is the co-president of BASIC, and is part of MCB (Marbeck Center Board) as well as ambassadors.
Wills, son of Kevin and Sue Wills, is majoring in biology. He is involved with the Chapel band, Shining Through, College Republicans, and bible study.
Maas is the daughter of Mark and Noreen Maas, and is majoring in adolescent/young adult mathematics education. She is the president of College Republicans, and is involved in FCA and intramurals.
Slager is the son of Joe and Alice Slager and is a business administration major. He is Student Senate treasurer, FYS mentor, and Pathways to Ministry Scholar. His activities include football, rec center design committee, BASIC, and FCA Steering committee.
Nussbaum, the daughter of Dallas and Kristi Nussbaum, is a middle childhood education major. She is a member of BASIC, Shining Through, and the Bluffton Education Organization.
This year’s Homecoming events include a parade, an alumni awards banquet, a Homecoming picnic, tug-of-war across the Riley, powder puff football, and a home football game against Manchester.
