Jazz Ensembles to perform at Bluffton University

Bluffton University will host a Jazz Ensemble concert from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, in Yoder Recital Hall.

Under the direction of Dr. Bo Young Kang, the first half of the concert will feature vocalists performing a variety of jazz, movie and musical pieces composed by Cole Porter, David Foster, Irving Kahal and more.

Conducted by Dr. Andrew Lieberman, the Jazz Ensemble will perform two classic Count Basie tunes written by Sammy Nestico as well as two modern jazz selections written by Michael Kocour and Maria Schneider.

The performance is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken during intermission for music scholarships. Masks are required inside campus buildings.
