Bluffton to host chamber ensemble recital

Bluffton University’s Low Brass Ensemble and Woodwind Ensemble will perform a combined recital at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Yoder Recital Hall.

Conducted by Dr. Roy Couch, the Low Brass Ensemble will feature the chorale from “Prince Igor,” a romantic Russian opera composed by Alexander Borodin, as well as works by Mendelssohn and Gabrieli.

Under the direction of Dr. Andrew Liebermann, the Woodwind Ensemble will perform more contemporary selections from composers including Eugene Bozza, Marc Mellits and John Steinmetz.

The event is free and open to the public.
