Women Enriching Women

After a one-year hiatus, the Bluffton University Women Enriching Women conference returns in 2018. This day-long event will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14 in Centennial Hall.

8:30 a.m. Registration/Check-in, Centennial Hall, 1st floor Stutzman Lecture Hall
9 a.m. Welcome by Women's Council president, Lori Burrows `03
9:15 a.m. Keynote address: "No Little Choices" by Erin Hardesty
As an adoptee, Erin grew up interested in learning more about her birth family. Her search and discovery brought her to the realization that the choices made by others centuries ago have defined her life and continue to define her journey today.

10:30 a.m Break
10:45 a.m.  "A Journey to find Home" by Tamara Al-Sammarraie `14
Can any of us truly imagine a childhood in which fear and gunfire are a nightly ritual? Then, imagine living in a refugee camp when your father is suddenly captured, imprisoned...or worse. How did this brave young woman find the courage to leave her family behind, cross an ocean to earn a college degree and start a life for herself?

Noon Lunch and interactive activities, Marbeck Center
Enjoy lunch with friends old and new, then shop the vendor tables or participate in an art project with Jodi Callahan, yoga with Karen Cline, EFT with Ruth Everett, or a campus walk (weather permitting)

2 p.m. "Hello....God...are you there?" by Pastor Robin Ramos
A shocking betrayal caused a dark time in the life of this pastor and almost destroyed her faith. Where did she find healing and gain the strength to lead her congregation?

2:45 p.m. Closing remarks from Women's Council
