Opening Convocation
Copeland Court, Sommer Center
This formal assembly marks the official opening of the academic year. This year, first-year
students will be involved in a virtual Opening Convocation. The featured speaker will
be Eric Kurtz, executive director of Mennonite Church Committee, who will address
the themes of the summer reading text, and every new student will be introduced. Report
to the location as instructed by your Becoming a Scholar instructor.
