Casa del Monte, Hearst Castle

Morgan designed three guest cottages, all given Spanish names. Casa del Monte is so-called because it faces the mountains. All are in a kind of eclectic Renaissance and Spanish style. They have white walls and red tile roofs, but the more elaborate decoration is not strictly Spanish. Unlike the two other cottages, Casa del Monte does not have a monumental hillside facade.
