You are expected to know:

1. What three things are required for a fire to happen?
2. What are the four types of fires?
3. What are the types of fire extinguishers?
   1. What types of fires are they best for?
   2. What types of fires are they unsuitable for, and why?
   3. What type(s) of extinguishers are present in the Shoker Laboratory?
4. When is it appropriate to fight a fire?
5. What steps are to be taken when fighting a fire? for example,
   1. If there is a fire in a small vessel on your bench, what is the best course of action?
   2. If there is a medium-large fire in the wastebasket, what is the best course of action?
   3. If there is an extensive fire over a large area of the lab, what is the best course of action?
   4. If the person next to you catches fire, what is the best course of action?
   The actions described should be linked to safety equipment present in Shoker Science Center.
