Northern Ireland

Peace & Conflict in Northern Ireland

You will connect with others by interacting with local people as you explore the culture and visit social service agencies. At the social service agencies, you will interview administrators, talk with direct service providers and visit work sites. You will interact at a deeper level with local people during the home stays. And, you will also connect with local people as you learn and perform the tin whistle and Gaelic dancing!

You will be exposed to a variety of viewpoints about different cultural issues (economic, political, and educational) through seminars, visits, interviews, etc. Students from all majors are welcome! You will experience the most demanding cross-cultural emotional work when you are in home stays and interacting with local people and the local culture without the group as a support.
