Cost

Students participating in the Northern Ireland semester program pay Bluffton University tuition, room and board, plus a $2,500 program fee. This covers program expenses, including academic credit, room and board, field excursions and several days in Dublin. Additional costs are airfare and travel documents. Students will not be required to purchase books for classes and the Bluffton technology fee for the semester will be waived.

The cross-cultural office will coordinate the flight arrangements. The $2,500 program fee is due on Aug. 15, 2013, for participation in fall 2014.

Students will continue to receive eligible financial aid as you would if you were taking classes on Bluffton's campus. If you have already participated in a semester program through Bluffton, no institutional aid will be awarded. If you have questions regarding aid you may contact our financial aid office at finaid@bluffton.edu.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students in good standing with the university may apply. Majors from all disciplines are welcome. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater to be eligible. Eight students will be accepted for fall 2014.

Application process

Applications may be acquired by contacting the cross-cultural program office at sudermane@bluffton.edu. In addition to the completed application, two faculty references must be submitted. At the time of application submission a $150 deposit is required, which is used as a deposit on your airline ticket. This deposit is refundable if the student is not accepted into the program. Applications are due July 1, 2013 for fall semester 2014.
