Lydia Nofziger '09Kyle Metzger '08
Bluffton alumni with degrees in social work, Lydia Nofziger and Kyle Metzger, graduated from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, Ind., in May 2014.

Lydia Nofziger '09 earned a master of divinity. She will complete a pastoral assignment for a pastor on sabbatical in summer 2014, then pursue a position in social service or teaching ministry in Columbus, Ohio.

Kyle Metzger '08, who earned a master of arts: peace studies, will be ministry coordinator at Love in the Name of Christ in Huntington, Ind.

Metzger said, "I entered seminary not because of any particular thing I wanted to do, but because of who I wanted to be. I knew that God was calling me to be a peacemaker, so I entered AMBS to study peace. Though I knew peace was a holistic field, at AMBS I learned more than I could have imagined—the spiritual, sociological, theological, and biblical implications of bringing shalom to this world. And, indeed, I feel that I have discerned the peacemaker in me that God desires for me to be."
