The Bluffton University Intramural Program is under the direction of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department. The intramural program contributes to the health and fitness of the participants and provides diversion from academic work. This program provides the opportunity for making participation in sports a meaningful part of a student's total education. The Bluffton University intramural program is also highly competitive for both athletes and non-athletes.
During the 2008-09 school year, there were eight intramural sports seasons, with many students competing in more than one sport. A total of 323 students registered 686 times to participate in intramurals.
