Computer study focuses on the design, manufacture, application and effectiveness of computers, computer materials, and includes the management, analysis and dissemination of information via the computer. From tiny hand-held electronic gadgets to huge multi-cabinet computers operated by many large organizations, computers pervade our culture and affect nearly every aspect of our daily lives. Computer study can be divided into the following categories: computer science (the micro-computer as a personal productivity tool) and data processing (functions performed and services provided by data processing centers).
