The clothing industry is one in which you can combine a business interest with a flair for creativity. Opportunities are available in fashion merchandising, fashion coordination, apparel design and manufacturing, interior design, fashion writing and theatrical costuming. Many entry-level positions are in retail sales or assistant buying, which means that most employment opportunities will be available in metropolitan areas that have large department stores or shopping malls. Opportunities also exist in large companies that are involved in clothing and textile manufacturing.
