campus construction supports increase

Many construction projects made necessary by enrollment growth have been completed. Funds for this construction and other needs continue to be raised through the Students First Funding Initiative, set to conclude in June 2004.

Construction included in Students First initiative include Mosiman Hall and Ramseyer Auditorium renovations, both completed in fall 2002; and the Marbeck Center addition, completed in spring 2003. Students moved into the new Neufeld Residence Hall in fall 2003.

Marbeck Center, the student union, was being enlarged to provide additional dining hall seating and recreational space.

A new residence hall housing 109 students was completed in fall 2003.

Built in 1960, Mosiman Hall has served as home for the music department. Renovations to provide climate control throughout the building, soundproofing in all practice rooms and studios, technology and cosmetic upgrades were complete by fall 2002.

Renovations to Ramseyer Auditorium in College Hall support the theatre program while addressing space needs for presentations and lectures. This project included improved seating, enhanced sound and lighting system and cosmetic upgrades.
