Walking on Water features a life size image created with colored ceramic tiles by Cheryl Pannabecker '86 of Cincinnati. Her work explores the endless possibilities for form, movement and space inherent in the figure.
"This figure, 'Walking on Water,' represents a desire for faith and trust, and the buoyancy one can obtain through applying and exercising one's faith and trust even in what feels like murky, uncharted waters," she said.
Pannabecker has taught traditional academic art courses at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University and Thomas More College. She also has led workshops and art groups and currently owns a ceramics studio in Cincinnati. Pannabecker graduated from Bluffton in 1986 and earned a master of fine arts from the University of Cincinnati.
