Seven sculptures grace a walkway along the eastern side of Centennial Hall. Different styles, different mediums, but all the same in that each sculpture represents the Bluffton experience of its artist.
Selected alumni and faculty were offered the opportunity to create pieces for an outdoor sculpture garden walkway. Seven artists accepted the challenge.
Works were installed over a several month period with the official dedication at Homecoming 2001. A major part of the funding for this garden was provided by the class of 1951.
"The project enabled us to reconnect with alumni artists, and it gave them an opportunity to be represented on campus through their mature work," said Gregg Luginbuhl, professor of art.
