Women's Tennis goes 1-1 for the week

BLUFFTON, Ohio – Bluffton University women’s tennis (4-6, 3-4 HCAC) team had a short week with two dual matches with Mount St. Joseph and Manchester this past Saturday. Bluffton split the matches by beating Mount St. Joseph 7-2 and losing to Manchester 9-0.
The Beavers went undefeated in doubles against Mt. St. Joseph as sophomore Jenna Liechty (Goshen, Ind./Bethany Christian) and partner freshman Kelly Metzger (Bluffton/Bluffton) won their No. 1 doubles match 8-3. The rest of the team followed their lead as No. 2 partners senior Stephanie Keefe (Tiffin/Calvert) and junior Kara Scrock (Middlebury, Ind./Northridge) also won 8-3. Not to disappoint anyone the No. 3 partners of sophomore Lisa Cherry (Waterville/Anthony Wayne) and freshman Chelsey Person (Bellefontaine/Bellefontaine) won 8-4 against the Mount.
The Beavers will conclude the 2004 season this Friday and Saturday as they participate in the HCAC championships. The conference championships will be held at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis, Ind. For directions please call the West Indy Racquet Club at (317)-291-4664.
