BLUFFTON, Ohio – Sophomore forward Brianne Von Lehmden (Ft. Jennings, Ohio/Ft. Jennings) was named co-women’s soccer player of the week for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Von Lehmden scored a goal in the Beaver’s 2-1 win over Hiram last week and posted the game winning goal in Bluffton’s 1-0 shutout of Rochester on Saturday. The goals were her first of the season. Bluffton University now stands 2-2 for the season, there highest win total since the 2000 campaign.
"Brianne has been a good addition to our team this year," head coach Steve Smucker said. "She creates a strong attacking presence that is difficult to defend against."
The Beavers will be back on the road this Wednesday when they travel to Heidelberg. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
