Beavers drop to Denison, Bacon and Schaller still among HCAC leaders

The Beavers 47 points were their second highest point total of the season to date. As a team Bluffton went 7-for-8 from the free throw line for the best free throw percentage of the year at .875 percent. As a team, Bluffton took eight steals which is also their second best total of the season.
Sophomore Karin Schaller (Jenera/Arlington) posted her third double double of year with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Senior Lindsay Bacon (Troy/Troy) led the team with 14 points. Junior Christina Champion (Oregon/Clay) had a career high day in points with 10 for the contest to finish the double digit scoring.
Senior Lindsay Bacon leads Bluffton this season with 12.6 points per game and eight three-pointers for the year which ranks ninth in the Heartland conference in scoring and fifth in three point field goals. She has made 13-of-16 free throws for the year, which puts her at third in the league at .812 percent. Sophomore Karin Schaller ranks first on the team and conference in rebounding, averaging 12.6 boards per game. She leads both the men and women in the league in blocks with 27 for the year. In points per game Schaller is 19th in the HCAC in scoring and second on the squad averaging 10.6 points per game. Freshman Tanya Rickenberg adds 10.2 points per game which places her at 22nd in the HCAC in scoring and third on the team. She currently is third in the conference in assists, averaging 4.00 per game (20 assists total).
