Tyler WilliamsTYLER LaMAR WILLIAMS, 19, died March 2, 2007, at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta.

He was born June 23, 1987, in Lima to Geneva A. Williams, who survives in Lima. His girlfriend, Sharon Begary, survives in Lima.

Mr. Williams was a sophomore at Bluffton University, where he was majoring in business, was a member of the varsity baseball team and served as the business manager of the university newspaper. He was a member of New Greater Grace Baptist Church. He was a 2005 graduate of Lima Senior High School, where he was an honor student and played drums in the marching band. He had also played varsity football and baseball, was on the all-star bowling team and was on the soccer team. He was a member of the African-American Student Organization and DECA, where he was a state award winner for his marketing project. He had played on an ACME summer baseball league team, bowled on a team at 20th Century Lanes, played Little League baseball and soccer and had been a Junior NBA basketball referee. He played on an all-star baseball team representing the United States in the Netherlands. He was an avid drum player and created his own record label, Gimmick Records.

Survivors also include eight brothers, Aaron S. Williams, Alonzo D. Williams, Justin R. Williams, Robert Manley Jr., Craig Robinson and Marcus Manley, all of Lima, De Andre Manley, of South Korea, and Robert T. Manley, of Cincinnati; six sisters, LaShawna A. Williams, Charnell R. Williams, Shaevon (Dimetrius) Pinn, Jessica Williams, Latoya Manley and Tammy Manley, all of Lima; a niece, Ny'Awna Rowe, of Lima; a nephew, Dréton Walton, of Lima; maternal grandmother, Frances Williams, of Lima; and maternal great-grandmother, Geneva Williams, of Athens, Ala.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, York and Hazel Chambers Sr.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. B. LaMont Monford Sr. will officiate, with the Rev. King Beverly delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be sent to JonesClarkFH@aol.com.
