Every defensive dig by a player in the Sept. 10 match between Bluffton and Oberlin will raise money in support of breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
You can choose to make a flat donation or to donate per dig for both teams combined. To give you an idea of how many digs that might be: last year Bluffton averaged 16.5 digs per game and Oberlin averaged 21.5 digs per game (remember volleyball is the best 3 games out of 5.) Based on those averages, if the match would go four games there would be 152 digs total for the match. Thus a $1 per dig donation would end up being approximately $152 or a .10 per dig would be $15.20 for the match.
