Volleyball shines in the classroom

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The success the volleyball produced on the court carried over to the classroom where the Beavers collectively earned a 3.418 team GPA. Coach Yarnell commented, “It is evident that our young ladies work hard on and off the court to ensure success in everything that they do. Their dedication to their studies and passion for the sport of volleyball makes them wonderful examples of a what is means to be a student-athlete.”

Seven members of the team made the Dean’s List (3.6 GPA or higher): Jenna Eshleman (Landisville, Penn./Hempfield), Kristyn Hovest (Gilboa/Pandora-Gilboa), Lauren Morrow (Marion/River Valley), Hailey Phillips (Malinta/Patrick Henry), Kyleigh Whitsel (Sheffield Lake/Brookside), Nicole Wood (Tiffin/Hopewell-Loudon), Courtney Zimmerman (Leesburg/Fairfield). Nine other players also finished the semester with a GPA above the 3.0 mark.
