Jenna Eshleman named Heartland Conference Player of the Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Jenna Eshleman (Landisville, Penn./Hempfield) has been named the Heartland Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 19, 2010.

The junior ended the week with 58 kills on 166 attempts for a .229 hitting percentage as Bluffton went 3-2 against top-flight competition. She also added 52 digs, 2 solo blocks and 8 block assists. In Bluffton's win at No. 12 ONU on Tuesday night, Eshleman finished with 19 kills, 14 digs, 1 solo block, 3 block assists and a .300 hitting percentage.

Eshleman was named to the Luther College All-Tournament after helping the Beavers to a 2-2 mark that included victories over Bethel and host Luther over the weekend. 

Bluffton will now turn its attention to the heartland Conference portion of the schedule when the Beavers hosts HCAC power Mount St. Joseph in Founders Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 22. The contest with the Lions is slated for 7 p.m. Click on the Live Stats link to follow the action this Wednesday.
