Bluffton defeats Ohio Wesleyan in four games, showing positives on season

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Bluffton University volleyball team (5-7) defeated Ohio Wesleyan in four games on Wednesday night. Match scores were 30-25, 30-24, 20-30, 30-22.

Junior Keri Kuhlman (Shelby/Shelby) posted 42 attacks to lead the Beavers. Seniors Erin Kreim (New Washington/Buckeye Central) and Courtney Tisher (Rittman/Rittman) posted good numbers to help Bluffton’s effort. Kreim notched 36 attacks with Tisher posting 35 attacks for the contest. Junior Leslie Overmyer (Payne/Wayne Trace) knocked down four service aces to lead Bluffton. Senior Kelly Kettinger (Oregon/Clay) had a good game as she recorded team highs in digs (39) and service receptions (25).

Bluffton University now stands at 5-7 for the 2004 season. The Beavers will be back in action this Saturday when they participate in the Denison Quad.
