Kuhlman named P.O.W.

– Sophomore Keri Kuhlman (Shelby/Shelby) was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s player of the week in volleyball. Kuhlman was given the honor for her efforts in two volleyball matches from last week.

Wakefield said. ”It is very exciting to have a player of the week. I hope that we can keep the momentum going as we dive head first into the conference schedule.”

    Bluffton beat
Denison University 3-0 and conference foe Hanover 3-1 on Saturday. The win over Hanover helped move the Beavers into a second place tie with rival Defiance in the conference. Kuhlman posted 14 kills and had a .570 hitting percentage against Hanover and posted 10 kills against Denison. She ended with 10 blocks on the day. Kuhlman is currently ranked fourth in the HCAC in blocks per game, averaging 1.1.

    Bluffton (13-11, 3-1 HCAC) will be in action Tuesday when they travel to Franklin College for another conference game.
