BLUFFTON, OHIO – In a Homecoming weekend double-header the Bluffton College women’s volleyball team picked up wins in both of their contests on the day, bringing their record to 13-11 (3-1 HCAC) on the season. The Beavers defeated Hanover College in the first contest 3-1 (30-24, 26-30, 30-28, 30-25) and then Denison University in the second 3-0 (30-25, 30-26, 32-30).
Sophomore Keri Kuhlman (Shelby/Shelby H.S.) led the Beavers against Hanover with 14 kills followed closely by junior Courtney Tisher (Rittman/Rittman H.S.) who had 12. Junior Kelly Kettinger (Oregon/Clay) recorded a game high 27 digs as well.
Against Denison, Tisher and Kuhlman each notched 10 kills while junior Jill Rothe (Wapakoneta/St. Mary’s) had eight blocks. The Beavers will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to Franklin for an HCAC contest. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
