The Bluffton College volleyball team defeated Manchester College 3-0 (30-28, 30-21, 30-22) Tuesday night in Founders Hall for the Beavers’ second straight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory.
Bluffton is now 10-16 overall and matches last year’s win total with the victory. BC is 2-1 in the HCAC, while Manchester falls to 5-14 overall and 1-3 in the HCAC.
Bluffton was led by sophomore Courtney Tisher with a career-high 16 kills and junior Erin Cooper, who finished with 20 assists. Sophomore Erin Kreim collected 10 digs and sophomore Karah Weldy also collected 10 digs and four service aces.
Manchester was led by Sarah Dillon with four solo blocks and five kills, while Jennifer Studebaker and Shannon Reynolds also had five kills. Abby Schmidt collected a team-high 16 assists and shared team-high dig honors with Melisa Davis and April Zuber, who each had eight digs.
Bluffton has this weekend off and will travel to Thomas More College on Tues., Oct. 16 for a 7 p.m. match.
