Below are game recaps from BC's four games played on Monday and Tuesday:
Monday vs. Alfred
Bluffton scored five runs in the first two innings and cruised to a 6-4 victory in the opening game of the Rebel Spring Games. Elizabeth Snavely belted a two-run homerun in her first at-bat of the season to give BC a 2-0 lead after one inning. The homer was the fourth in her career at BC, which marks a new school record. She added a single later in the game and finished with three RBIs, while Emily Kurtz handled the pitching duties for all seven innings, allowing just two earned runs and collecting three strikeouts.

Monday vs. Concordia
Concordia erupted for seven runs in the final three innings to break open a 2-2 tie and claim a 9-2 win over BC in the second game of the season. Missy Alexander collected two singles and scored a run, while Stacy Herr pitched all seven innings and allowed just one earned run due to six errors by the BC defense.

Tuesday vs. Marietta
The Beavers put together an amazing comeback in the seventh inning to notch an 11-10 victory in Tuesday's first game. Bluffton trailed 10-4 going into their final at-bat, but thanks to four hits and three MC errors, BC scored seven runs to take the lead. Herr retired the first two batters in the bottom of the seventh and hung on to notch her first win of her collegiate career, going all seven innings and giving up just one earned run. Heather Thornton drilled a two-run triple in that final inning for the game-winning RBI as she ended the day with two hits and three RBIs.

Tuesday vs. John Carroll
Jessica Spain drilled a two-out game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift BC past John Carroll 5-4 in the second game on Tuesday. Bluffton led 4-2 going into the final inning, but JCU scored two runs in the top half of the seventh to tie the score at 4-4. BC's first two batters of the seventh inning were retired, but Snavely drew a two-out walk and was then replaced by pinch runner Thornton, who scored from first on Spain's double. Kurtz went the distance in picking up her second win of the season and Missy Neal also knocked two base hits.
