Bluffton wins doubleheader at Transylvania in HCAC action

CINCINATTI, OHIO - The Bluffton College softball team (20-4, 7-1 HCAC) took two games from HCAC opponent Transylvania University 4-0 and 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

 

Sophomore pitcher Sarah Betts (Bryan/Bryan) picked up her seventh shutout victory of the season on the mound by throwing a one hitter in game one. She improves her record to 19-3 overall.  Lane Leedy (Bellville/Clear Fork) and Michelle Pleiman (Yorkshire/Minster) hit a double each. Mandy Snider (Wapakoneta/Wapakoneta) went 2-for-4 with two singles in game two for Bluffton.

 

The Beavers will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Case Western Reserve. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm.
