Beavers take Rochester College, improve to 16-2

ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH. - The Bluffton College softball team (16-2, 4-0 HCAC) easily defeated Rochester College 7-1 and 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Allison Lange (Archbold/Archbold) belted out a home run and a double in game one. Juniors Jackie Wells (Malinta/Patrick Henry) posted two doubles with Michelle Pleiman (Yorkshire/Minster) also hitting a double.

Sophomore pitcher Sarah Betts (Bryan/Bryan) picked up both wins to improve her record to 15-1 on the mound for the season.  Betts posted a double for the Beavers only extra base hit in game two.

The Beavers committed only two errors for the series. Bluffton College will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Thomas More for a doubleheader. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
