Softball team sweeps opening HCAC doubleheader

HANOVER, IND. – The Bluffton College softball team (12-2, 2-0 HCAC) swept HCAC foe Hanover College 3-2 and 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

 

The Bluffton bats were hot as the Beavers smacked out 7 hits in each game. Junior Allison Lange (Archbold/Archbold) went 4-for-6 for the outing with one triple and two home runs. Heading into the doubleheader, Lange led the Beavers with a .471 batting average and 16 hits.

 

Sophomore Sarah Betts (Bryan/Bryan) picked up two victories on the mound for Bluffton. Betts record improves to 11-1 for the season.

 

Bluffton will be back in action at home on Wednesday for a doubleheader against HCAC opponent Manchester College. Start time is scheduled for 3 pm.
