Haulman, Buckingham named All-HCAC

Senior third baseman Jeff Haulman (Troy/Miami East) and junior centerfielder Brad Buckingham (Geneva, Ind./South Adams) received All-Heartland Conference honors earlier this month as the 2001 baseball season came to a close.

Haulman received first team All-HCAC status as he led the Beavers with a .423 batting average, seven doubles and a .464 on base percentage in HCAC games. His average and OBP both ranked seventh in the league and his doubles ranked sixth.

Buckingham was named Bluffton's offensive and defensive MVP and he batted .302 in HCAC games. Overall this season his .367 batting average ranked third on the team and led the team in hits with 47 and total bases with 57 to go with his .958 fielding percentage.
