The BC men’s squad saw themselves near the top of several events last Saturday. Leading the way was senior Eric Wilson who placed second in the high jump with a leap of 1.930 meters, just .051 meters off the first place finisher’s jump. Senior sprinter James Stevens contributed a third place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.50. Junior Rick Orr finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 13.462 meters. Bluffton’s 400-meter relay team also placed well, finishing fourth in the event. Sophomore Mark Suter placed fifth in the high jump, while collecting eighth place finishes were Aaron Jones in the high jump and T.J. Phlipot in the shot put.
Three BC women’s team members scored points, including seniors Ben Noll and Dawn Daniels and freshman Laurel Miller. Noll (800-meter run) and Daniels (1500-meter run) both collected sixth place finishes, while Miller earned a second place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.524 meters.
