Bluffton College head football coach Carlin Carpenter came in at #6 on the 2000 Ohio College Coach of the Year Award balloting.
Carpenter guided BC to a 7-3 record during the 2000 season and a share of the Heartland Conference championship. The 7-3 record was Bluffton's second in a row. He set the Bluffton all-time wins record during the season and now has 95 career wins under his belt.
Carpenter received one first place vote and came in third among Division III coaches.
